Let's build a better future.

Every year on November 20th, World Children's Day is celebrated. This day is set aside for kids to come together and raise their voices on the issues they care about.

This World Children's Day, UNICEF celebrates children and young people worldwide who advocate for a better future.

This year's celebration is extraordinary because kids are calling for a more equal and inclusive world.

They recognize that all children deserve the same rights, no matter where they live or what they look like.

As parents, we should all stand behind this message of equality.

From climate change to education and mental health, kids stand up for what they believe in and call on adults to take action.

So what can you do to help make a difference? Here are a few ideas:

  1. Learn about the issues that matter to children and young people, and talk about them with your family and friends. It can sometimes be easy to dismiss the views of a younger person, and we forget that they have the natural ability to look at the world through different eyes. If we really want to see change and a better world, we need to listen to the voices of the future. And pay close attention. Being a parent doesn't always mean we are right and hold the answers to everything. We can learn a lot from the younger generations.  These conversations can be held in a natural organic way by simply chatting and understanding the issues that upset our future generations.
  1. Volunteer or donate to organizations that work to improve children's and young people's lives. It's a great way to better understand the needs of our future generations. Unicef does a fantastic job of protecting children around the globe. If you want to learn more about a vital agreement by countries who have promised to protect children's rights, the Convention explains who children are, their rights, and the responsibilities of families. All rights are connected, equally important, and cannot be taken away from children.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child can be accessed for free here.

  1. Get involved in campaigns or protests to improve the world for children. What a great way to feel we are playing a positive role in the future of our children and grandchildren than to actually get involved in campaigns that really matter to them,

On World Children's Day, let's fight for a fairer world for all children.

And if you don't have time for the above, you can always support organizations that work to improve kids' lives around the globe.

We can also spread the word about this important day and its mission. Let's show the world that we believe in a bright future for all children!
